Summertime!

We have been enjoying the warm weather and spending a lot of time outside! 

Ryland LOVES his new classroom at Goddard - Clownfish.  He talks about his Clownfish room and activities all the time.  Which makes us feel great knowing that he loves every minute while he is at school.  They have "water day" every Friday so he gets to go to school in his bathing suit and play in water toys.  They also have "playball" twice a week at school and all of the kids love it.  I think part of why Ryland is so  good at kicking, catching and throwing is due to all of the stuff that they do during "playball".

We went to the zoo with Lindy, Maddie and Lainey a couple of weeks ago. 

Ryland and Maddie had a blast!  They were so busy looking at all of the animals that I could not get a picture of both of them looking at the camera :)

A couple of weeks ago we knocked on the Vinings Firehouse front door and were allowed to come inside to check out the firetrucks!  Ryland loved it and the fireman gave him a "firetruck hat".  We then went to eat dinner at New York Pizza Exchange and sat outside to watch for trains.  And just as we were leaving one came by and it was extra long.  Ryland was so excited.  It was the perfect end to a great afternoon.

What a cutie ...

The other day Ryland was into taking pictures (which is VERY rare) and was being so cute with all of his poses.  He would run over after each picture to look at it and then run back to take another one.

Trip to the Mountains ...

The weekend before Memorial Day we went up to Highlands, NC with my parents for a long weekend.  It was the perfect relaxing weekend.  And even cold enough at night to have a fire in the fireplace on the backporch.

Whiteside Mountain Hike

While we were in Highlands, NC we hiked up Whiteside Mountain. 

It was beautiful and we cannot wait to hike additional trails near Highlands.

In the POTTY!

On May 24th, 2012 it happened!  Ryland has been peeing in the potty at school! 

And the timing was perfect because I had just bought him a pair of "Lightning McQueen" pajamas and had them in my car.  So when I heard the good news from his teachers he got to open the bag with his new pajamas when he got into the car.  He was so excited.

It has been pretty consistent since then ... at least once every day (or every other day) he has been peeing in the potty.  And I love seeing the "P" or "Potty" next to the time on his sheet.  What a bog boy!

Now if we can just get him to do it at home :)
