It is here and it is UP!

I feel like we have been planning for this swing set for months!  We had all of the prep work completed last month.  And then we all planned for a weekend that my parents and Jerry and Sharon could be here to help us put it together.    It was a fun and EXHAUSTING weekend.  There were a lot of man hours dedicated to Ryland's new swing set and it was worth every minute.  He loves it!

Tab did a lot of the prep work on Friday with unboxing everything and organizing all of the parts.

And then it was time to build it! Here is a picture before they started on Saturday morning.

It started to come together pretty fast but there are A-L-O-T of boards, screws and braces!

The guys stayed outside until it was dark ... we were determined to get the slide completed but it was MUCH harder than we expected.  So we had to go to sleep with 3/4 of it completed.

We all woke up rested and ready for day #2 of "assembly"!

Ryland sang us a song before we all went outside.

And before we knew it the slide was completed and Ryland was climbing to the top to test it out!

And then he had to help with the last few screws.

All done and loving every bit of it!

Thanks Pops, CC, JJ and Mimi for all of your hard work!!  We could not have done it without you all.

Here is a look at what Ryland did while we were all hard at work putting together his swing set ....

1.  He cooked in my old 1980 kitchen set in the basement.

2.  And cooked some more.

3.  And climbed up on the swing set whenever possible.

4.  And jumped off the side.

5.  And brought us all coffee and peas from his kitchen in the basement.

6.  And got under the swing set whenever possible.

7.  And climbed more.

8.  And started day #2 off in the kitchen again.

9.  Cleaning up his dishes from the day before.

10.  And pointed out how dirty daddy's lawn mower was!

He had the best time playing outside and in the basement for 2 days straight!
