Seaside, FL - 2013

A couple of weeks ago we headed down to Seaside, FL for a long weekend with the MacPhee's and Govan's.  Despite the weather being cold we had a great time.  The kids had a blast - they especially loved that we had a pool at the house.

Ryland immediately attached himself to Patrick since he was the cool dad that played in the pool on the first night that we were there :)  It was so funny to see how much Ryland was attached to Patrick all weekend.  He even had to tell him goodnight each night.

The pool was heated but it was COLD when you got out!

The first night there we pulled out the karaoke machine for the kids and built a fort with the sofa cushions.

All of the 3 year olds (Ryland, Maddie and Stella) shared a bedroom which turned out great.  And their bedroom was on the bottom floor with a door leading out to the pool.  Needless to say we blocked that door with the dresser each night to make sure that they did not wake up and head straight for the pool!  The first morning we heard Stella on the monitor wake up and go over to Maddie and Ryland to tell them that it was time to get up.  She was so excited and it was so cute.

The first full day there it was really cold but we decided to bundle up with what warm clothes we had and head to the beach.  The sand was freezing but the kids had fun running around and feeding the birds.

That night we went out for dinner.  We attempted to get the kids together for a group pictures at the restaurant.  They were being silly and were not still for long at all for a photo.

After dinner they decided to peek through a window which was right next to a family that was trying to eat dinner inside the restaurant.

The weather was perfect on our last day!  We spent all day at the beach - digging holes, playing lacrosse, pladdle boarding and chilling under the tent.

We had so much fun that we are hoping that this turns into an annual vacation.
We cannot wait until our next trip!
